SPIRITUAL DOWNLOADS

Genesis 2:19 - And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature that was the name thereof.  In Genesis chapters 1 and 2, we were told God created the world in 6 days and rested on the 7th day. God evidently had a script or a plan that He followed daily in order to create the entire world and part of His plan was to create man on the 6th day and give him responsibility over the earth.  Adam's very first assignment was to name all the animals that God created. God could have named the animals himself, but He decided to give Adam the responsibility of naming all the animals.  Why would God ask Adam to name the Animals? God was the creator and anyone who creates anything has a responsibility to determine its looks, purpose and name. Adam did not create any animal so ordinarily he would not be in a position to determine the pu...

THE VALUE OF RELATIONSHIPS.

Image
Relationships are resources that God has placed strategically in our lives to enable us fulfil His plan and purpose for our lives. Relationships can be the bridge between where you are and where God wants to take you to. They can also be channels for the release of God’s blessings and favour into your life. When Joseph was in Egypt, God connected him to strategic relationships, that enabled him to meet Pharaoh, interpret his dreams and led to his appointment as the Prime Minister. So we can say the relationships he had in prison was his launch pad to the Palace. Who do I know or have access to, that can connect me to what I need? In 2 Kings 5:3-4; Naaman's wife's had a captive maid from Isreal who spoke about a Prophet in Israel called Elisha, who God eventually used to heal Naaman. She didn't heal Naaman herself, but she played a critical role that led to his healing.  Who do I know or have access to, that God can use to declare His counsel and blessings over my life? ...

TAPPING INTO THE POWER OF PROPHETIC JOURNALING

Image
Prophetic Journaling is the spiritual discipline of documenting or writing down your dreams, visions, angelic encounters, trances, spiritual impressions and various spiritual communications from God.  It is a tool that helps to enhance our Prophetic Walk with God, making it easier and more rewarding.  Every spoken or revealed word from God carries His Power and His Spirit and is transmitted through a unique spiritual frequency. (John 6:63, Hebrews 1:3) “It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are SPIRIT, and they are life”. John 6:63 “Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the WORD OF HIS POWER…” Hebrews 1:3 One of the many benefits of Prophetic Journaling is that it helps you to TRAP   the SPIRIT, POWER and the SPIRITUAL FREQUENCY behind the spoken or the revealed word of God (the revelation) you have received.  However, it is one thi...

LEARNING TO PROPHESY

Image
"So I prophesied as I was commanded; and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and suddenly a rattling; and the bones came together, bone to bone. Ezek.37.5-8 Prophecy is a declaration of the plan of God for the present or the future over an individual, family, society or a nation. Prophecy is declaring God's plan and allowing the Holy Spirit "work on the spoken words" to bring them to pass.  In Genesis chapter one, God had a plan, He "spoke forth" the plan (...and God said and God said...) and His Spirit "worked on" the plan and brought it to pass. The Spirit of God will only act on words spoken in alignment with God’s plan. Prophecy is speaking to men or situations on behalf of God.  Two important ingredients that qualify you to speak on behalf of God are your RELATIONSHIP with God and how much of His TRUST you have earned. You can't speak for God if you have not been with God and earned His trust. You will hear Elijah say, "...befor...

THE TEST OF HONOUR

Image
Now it came to pass after these things that God tested Abraham, and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am." Gen.22.1   Honour is giving someone a higher place of recognition than oneself or the recognition of a person above every other person from amongst a group of people.   Therefore the LORD God of Israel says: "...for those who honour Me I will honour, and those who despise Me shall be lightly esteemed. 1Sam.2.30  Honouring God is giving Him first place in your life. You honour Him above yourself, your desires, your needs, your family, friends, colleagues and people in general. Honouring God involves relegating everything to the background in order to give God first place in your life. Does your appetite for food, money and worldly pleasure take first place in your life?  God will always pass you through His " TEST OF HONOUR"  to know what takes first place in your life; food, money, worldly pleasure or God Himself.  Sometimes, w...

THE REALM OF ANGELS AND PROPHETIC ENCOUNTERS...

Image
“Now Jacob went out from Beersheba and went toward Haran. So he came to a certain place and stayed there all night, because the sun had set. And he took one of the stones of that place and put it at his head, and he lay down in that place to sleep. Then he dreamed, and behold, a ladder was set up on the earth, and its top reached to heaven; and there the angels of God were ascending and descending on it”. Gen 28:10-12 A prophetic encounter is a "DIVINE EXPERIENCE" that opens you up to the spiritual realm. There are times in the prophetic when God uses His angels to initiate prophetic encounters in the lives of ordinary, everyday people.  Throughout scriptures we see God using angels to initiate diverse prophetic encounters in the lives of different people; Mary the mother of Jesus (Luke 1:28-38); Zacharias (Luke 1:11-20), Gideon (Judges 6:11- 21) and Cornelius (Acts 10:2-7). Sometimes during such encounters the angels on assignment operate behind the scenes; they are invis...

MULTIPLYING DIVINE INVESTMENTS

Image
“To one he gave five talents of money, to another two talents, and to another one talent, each according to his ability. Then he went on his journey. The man who had received the five talents went at once and put his money to work and gained five more. So also, the one with the two talents gained two more. But the man who had received the one talent went off, dug a hole in the ground and hid his master's money”.  Matthew 25:15-18 Some years ago I was watching a program on Satellite Television of a Prophet from Africa ministering and to be honest I was impressed with what God was using him to do and I told myself it would be nice to minister like him. All of a sudden God dropped this phrase in my heart, "A Prophet is a Prophet not because of the LABEL or TITLE he carries, but because of what Heaven has invested in his life".  Which means you can do what any Prophet does, if you have access to what Heaven has invested in his life. Elisha understood this, that's why h...

THE PROPHETIC WORD

Image
“… Man doth not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeded out of the mouth of the Lord doth man live”. Deuteronomy 8:3. The Prophetic Word is the proceeding word from the mouth of God that reveals the mind of God. It is the ‘now’ word for the future (i.e., a word declared in the present that manifests in the future).   The Prophetic Word is a word from the mind of God that is declared by the mouth of His Servants. So His Servants have the responsibility to always ask God what His mind is concerning any situation (you also have a responsibility to always ask God what His mind is concerning situations of concern to you). In 2Kings 3:11, King Jehoshaphat said, “Is there no prophet of the Lord here that we may enquire of the Lord by him”?  The Prophetic Word is the declaration of the counsel of God. Once His mind is revealed then it should be declared. In 2 Kings 3; 16, Elisha declared, “…Thus says the Lord; make this valley full of ditches....”.  The...

SPIRITUAL SENSE OF SMELL

Image
“And he came near, and kissed him: and he smelled the smell of his raiment, and blessed him, and said, See, the smell of my son is as the smell of a field which the LORD hath blessed. Therefore God give thee of the dew of heaven, and the fatness of the earth, and plenty of corn and wine”  Gen.27.27-28   Every one of us was created by God with 5 physical senses and 5 spiritual senses; the sense of sight, sense of hearing, sense of touch, sense of taste and the sense of smell. The spiritual sense of smell is one of the senses that God has given us that enables us to communicate with Him, discern spiritual activity as we interact with our spiritual environment.  When your physical sense of smell is active, you are able to identify what is or was physically present in your environment based on the unique smells they emit even without physically seeing the object. For instance, the unique fragrance of a person’s perfume can communicate to you their physical presenc...

SPIRITUAL SYMBOLS

Image
"Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree (Jeremiah 1: 11). Symbols can be described as the language of Visions and Dreams. They are signs that communicate words. They can be described metaphorically as a big door that has smaller doors hidden in it. In other words, the meaning of the symbol is hidden in its everyday use. Symbols are a means for both spiritual and physical communication; for instance colours can be used as signs for both physical and spiritual communication. When the light turns RED at a traffic light junction, it communicates stop to motorists and when it turns GREEN it communicates go, without any verbal communication.   Symbols are also God’s indirect means of spiritual communication to us. For example when you see an OPEN DOOR in a dream or vision, it could mean ‘access granted to desired opportunities’, whilst a CLOSED DOOR could mean ‘denied access to desired opportuni...

HEARING GOD: ACTIVATING YOUR SPIRITUAL SENSE OF TOUCH

Image
Heb.5.14, “But strong meat belongs to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their SENSES exercised to DISCERN both good and evil”. SPIRITUAL SENSES enable us to discern activities or manifestations in the spiritual realm, while physical senses enable us to discern manifestations or activities in the physical realm. For example the spiritual sense of sight (your spiritual eyes) enables you to see visions or access dreams in the spiritual realm, while your physical sense of sight(your physical eyes) enables you to see physical objects like the blog post you are reading.  We have five spiritual senses as well as five physical senses: The sense of sight, hearing, touch, taste and smell. Each of these senses help you to communicate and interact in the corresponding realms where they exist.  Today we want to talk about how you can hear from God and also discern spiritual activities or manifestations using the spiritual sense of touch. The spiritual s...

ACTIVATE YOUR SPIRITUAL SENSES

Image
God created every one with the inert ability to discern both physical and spiritual activities and manifestations around them. A sense gives you the ability to discern particular manifestations or activities in an environment. Hebrews 5:14. says - But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. The world we live in is made up of 2 realms, the physical and the spiritual realm. God created us with 2 sets of senses; physical senses and spiritual senses, so that we can operate and interact with the physical realm as well as the spiritual realm. Your physical senses; the sense of Sight, Hearing, Touch, Taste and Smell, help you to discern physical manifestations or activities in the physical realm or environment, while your spiritual sense of Sight, Hearing, Touch, Taste and Smell, help you to discern spiritual manifestations or activities in the spiritual realm or environment. ...
