HEARING GOD: ACTIVATING YOUR SPIRITUAL SENSE OF TOUCH

 

Heb.5.14, “But strong meat belongs to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their SENSES exercised to DISCERN both good and evil”.

SPIRITUAL SENSES enable us to discern activities or manifestations in the spiritual realm, while physical senses enable us to discern manifestations or activities in the physical realm. For example the spiritual sense of sight (your spiritual eyes) enables you to see visions or access dreams in the spiritual realm, while your physical sense of sight(your physical eyes) enables you to see physical objects like the blog post you are reading. 

We have five spiritual senses as well as five physical senses: The sense of sight, hearing, touch, taste and smell. Each of these senses help you to communicate and interact in the corresponding realms where they exist. 

Today we want to talk about how you can hear from God and also discern spiritual activities or manifestations using the spiritual sense of touch.

The spiritual sense of touch enables you to discern spiritual activity or manifestations in the spiritual realm through physical impressions on your physical body. It also helps you to discern spiritual communications; what God, human and spirit beings are saying in the spiritual realm through physical impressions or feelings on your body.

It might interest you to know that God uses impressions such as; peace or trouble in our spirit, external and internal pain, external physical pressure, hot or cold sensations on different parts of the body to communicate danger, identify sickness, confirm His will, expose the devil's will, as well as expose our personal will.

Six steps on how to hear from God using your spiritual sense of touch;

1.Take note of unusual physical impressions in your body that could be slight or intense. Such impressions could include loss or presence of peace, slight or intense pain in specific locations on your body that could be internal or external, external physical pressure, hot or cold sensations in different parts of your body. 

2.Document them. Write down what you felt, how you felt it and where you felt it. For example, "a slight pain on the wrist of my right hand or a cold sensation on the top of my head". 

3.Take note of the context or specific circumstance surrounding the impression you felt; for example what was I thinking about when I felt the pain or external pressure on my small, ring finger or any other finger on my right hand? What was I saying or about to say when I felt a touch or slight external pressure on my left arm or forehead? What was I doing or about to do when I lost my peace? Taking note of such circumstances can be crucial in discerning spiritual communications.

4.Ask questions as you attempt to discern the spiritual communication behind the physical impression or feeling. For instance, Holy Spirit I just felt a touch or slight pressure on my forehead, please what are you saying to me through what I am feeling right now? Praying in tongues at that moment could enhance your discernment or receipt of feedback from the Holy Spirit. As you pray the Holy Spirit can remind you of a thought, an action, or quicken a phrase or a picture in your mind. 

5.Overtime as you enquire, the Holy Spirit will teach you to assign specific words or unique interpretations to different physical impressions or feelings. For example you could feel pressure on a specific finger, and the unique interpretation means an alignment with His will with regards to that thought, speech or action you are contemplating or about to be initiate. The ultimate aim of the Holy Spirit is to overtime and not all at once, assign specific words and unique interpretations to specific impressions or feelings that God will use subsequently to communicate with you as often as possible. Most times the impressions and the communications interpreted are unique to each and every individual. It is more like sharing a unique set of spiritual codes of communication known only to you and God.  

6.The key to mastering and upgrading your language vocabulary of the spiritual sense of touch is tied to regular use of the sense, inspite of the challenges you will face that are associated with learning a new spiritual language. This could result in you mixing up interpretations and impressions from time to time or having physical impressions or feelings and finding it difficult to get interpretation. But the more you keep at it, the more confident you will become and the more precise your discernment will be.

In the name of Jesus, I declare that your spiritual sense of touch is activated. From today your ability to discern spiritual activities and communications in the spiritual realm through physical impressions on your body is activated in the name of Jesus.
