THE VALUE OF RELATIONSHIPS.

Relationships are resources that God has placed strategically in our lives to enable us fulfil His plan and purpose for our lives.

Relationships can be the bridge between where you are and where God wants to take you to. They can also be channels for the release of God’s blessings and favour into your life.

When Joseph was in Egypt, God connected him to strategic relationships, that enabled him to meet Pharaoh, interpret his dreams and led to his appointment as the Prime Minister. So we can say the relationships he had in prison was his launch pad to the Palace.

Who do I know or have access to, that can connect me to what I need? In 2 Kings 5:3-4;
Naaman's wife's had a captive maid from Isreal who spoke about a Prophet in Israel called Elisha, who God eventually used to heal Naaman. She didn't heal Naaman herself, but she played a critical role that led to his healing.

Who do I know or have access to, that God can use to declare His counsel and blessings over my life? In 2 Kings 3:11-12; the Kings of Isreal, Judah and Edom needed to hear from God concerning their situation and a servant of the King led them to Prophet Elisha, who revealed the mind of God to them and declared the blessings of provision and victory into their lives and situation.

Who do I know or have access to, that God can use to channel His favour through them to me? In Exodus 12:35-36, God used the Egyptian neighbours of the Isrealites to bless the Isrealites with gold and silver as a result of His favour upon them.

God can use anyone to favour you but most times, it is usually easier to use people you know or have a relationship with.

Your spiritual relationships most times serve as a conduit for the release of God’s spiritual blessings upon you and the physical resources He has placed in your hands. In 2Kings 4:3-4, Prophet Elisha released God's blessings of multiplication through a prophetic instruction upon a little bottle of oil, that led to the widows deliverance from debt. In John 2:7-9, at the wedding in Cana of Galilee,Jesus through a Prophetic instruction released God's blessing of transformation upon water, that turned it into first class wine thereby averting eminent embarrassment for the couple, due to the lack of wine.

In all the instances above, It was the blessing of God but channeled through spiritual relationships, into the lives of those who had access to those relationships and it brought multiplication, increase and transformation into their lives.

Also, your secular relationships can be the doorway for God to access your life and channel His favour through men to you. One of the ways to ascertain the level of God's favour upon a man's life is through the amount of favour he enjoys from men. In Exodus 12:35-36, God gave the Isrealites favour in the eyes of the Egyptians.

The favour of men that gravitates towards you is a reflection of God’s favour upon your life.

Be careful not to despise your secular relationships because you may just be cutting off the flow of God’s favour allocated to you through that relationship.

In 2Kings 4, the wife of the son of the prophet, would have worked against God’s timely intervention for her life, if she was not in good terms with her neighbours who lent her the vessels that determined the volume of her miracle oil. You might just be one friend or relationship away from the most important miracle or intervention of your life.

It is important for us to know that God wants us to place value on all the relationships he has placed in our lives both Spiritual and Secular, so that He can channel His resources, favour and blessings through them into our lives.

God uses men to bless men! He needed a man to lift Joseph and He found Pharaoh.

From today, may you enjoy the FAVOUR of God through Men as you place VALUE on your relationships in the mighty name of Jesus.
